An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong, when George Ridsdale (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Nathan Evans, interfered with Archies Lad (GB), unplaced, ridden by Paul Hanagan, and Beechwood Izzy (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Joe Fanning.
Evans was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had shifted right for a run when not sufficiently clear, causing Archies Lad (GB) to be checked and inturn cause interference to Beechwood Izzy (IRE).
Following the race, Nathan Evans reported that George Ridsdale (GB), placed sixth, was denied a clear run from 3 furlongs out to approaching the final furlong.
