The winner Esperti (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its recent poor form.
It was noted that David Rees could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Esperti (IRE) was routine tested.
An enquiry was held to consider the circumstances surrounding the medical response following the unseat of Adam Wedge after a bad mistake at the fifth-last fence in Race 3.
The Clerk of the Course, the Racecourse Manager, the Chief Medical Officer, a member of the Racecourse Medical team, the BHA Course Inspector and Adam Wedge were interviewed and shown recordings.
After hearing the evidence, a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horse Racing Authority for further consideration.
