Permission was given for Over Spiced (GB) and Natsumi (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
The winner, Natsumi (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 13 December 2024 where the filly finished tenth of twelve runners beaten by 9 ¾ lengths.
The explanation given by Dr Richard Newland and Jamie Insole that Natsumi (GB) may have benefitted from a 105 day break and that the filly had also strengthened during that time, was noted.
Natsumi (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Edward Greatrex reported that Over Spiced (GB), placed fifth, hung right-handed.
