The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined King Of Cashel, trained by J.A.Stack, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards interviewed Mr M. Chaybyn, rider of Three Comets (GER), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr M. Chaybyn accepted that he had used his whip when out of contention and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr M. Chaybyn was in breach of R10(3)(b) by using his whip unnecessarily after his mounts chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr M. Chaybyn on this occasion.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards (80 = 12st) Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 10st 7lbs Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
