NOBODY’S PERFECT (IRE) wore ear plugs which were removed at the start and for Jacksbar (GB) to wear ear plugs throughout the race and a red hood to post.
Ben Lund was fined £140 for doubly declaring What U Wanna Do Is (IRE) to run in THE EXE TRAK LTD GROUND PROTECTION MATS MARES' HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 5) at Exeter and THE CRS BUILDING SUPPLIES 'NATIONAL HUNT' MAIDEN HURDLE RACE (CLASS 4) at Exeter and the mare ran in the latter.
After an initial false start, the start was effected successfully on the second attempt.
However, having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
The winner, NOBODY’S PERFECT (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Taunton on 18 January 2025, where the mare finished tenth of sixteen runners, beaten 46 ½ lengths.

At the fourth flight of hurdles, My Granny Lily (GB), placed fourth, shifted left-handed before take off and in doing so took Northern Symphonie (GB), unplaced, off its intended line who in turn, turned the quarters of Sweet Caryline (GB), placed third but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of My Granny Lily (GB).
Following the race, James Davies reported that Reel Orange (IRE), which was pulled up, never travelled.
The Veterinary Officer reported that English Willow (GB), unplaced, made a respiratory noise and lost its left-fore shoe.
