One furlong and a half out, Take The Boat (IRE), placed fourth, shifted quickly left-handed moving Many Men (GB), placed second, off its intended line at the same time as the winner, Naina (GB) shifted right- handed moving Cable Rate (GB), unplaced, off its intended line, causing Cable Rate (GB) and Many Men (GB) to come together.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Take The Boat (IRE) or Naina (GB).
Inside the final furlong, the winner Naina (GB) shifted quickly right-handed despite the riders best efforts, moving Many Men (GB), placed second, Take The Boat (IRE), placed fourth, and Kings Square (IRE), placed fifth, off their intended lines.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Naina (GB).
Following the race, Lewis Edmunds reported that Cable Rate (GB), unplaced, was hampered one and a half furlongs out; Billy Loughnane reported that Many Men (GB), which started favourite and finished second, was slowly away and denied a clear run from one and a half furlongs out and Luke Morris reported that Thine Be The Glory (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
