An enquiry was held to consider interference after jumping the last fence, involving Cloudy Wednesday (IRE), placed second, ridden by Lewis Stones and the winner, Kayce Dutton (IRE), ridden by Charlie Todd.
Stones was cautioned for careless riding as allowed his mount to drift left-handed under a right-handed drive, causing the rider of Kayce Dutton (IRE) to be carried off his intended line.
The performance of King Of The Hill (IRE) which started as favourite and was pulled up, was considered.
Sam Allwood could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance, other than confirming the report from the rider, William Maggs, that something was amiss with the gelding.
The Veterinary Officer examined King Of The Hill (IRE) post-race, during routine testing and reported that the gelding had struck into its left-fore.
