Permission was given for Warminster (GB) to go early to post and to mount in the chute.
Leaving the stalls, Starsong (IRE), unplaced, jumped left-handed, bumping Vitalline (GB), placed fifth, causing the gelding to be slowly away, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong out involving the winner, Under Curfew (GB) (IRE), ridden by Molly Gunn, and Back Tomorrow (GB), placed third, ridden by Dougie Costello.
