The Veterinary Officer reported that upon inspection, Emerald Lad (FR) was grey and not bay as published in the racecard.
Approximately 1 furlong out, General Briar (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed taking Emerald Lad (FR), placed fourth, off its intended line resulting in him becoming tight for room between for several strides between Roi Du Risk (FR), unplaced and General Briar (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Freddie Gordon reported that General Briar (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed in the home straight.
