An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following interference inside the final furlong involving, the winner, Carolus Magnus (IRE), ridden by Billy Garritty and Supreme Clarets (IRE), placed second, ridden by Warren Fentiman.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Carolus Magnus (IRE) as Supreme Clarets (IRE) was only moved slightly off its intended line and Carolus Magnus (IRE) was always holding Supreme Clarets (IRE) to be beaten by a neck at the line.
Garritty was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction, causing Supreme Clarets (IRE) to be taken slightly off its intended line.
