The winner Lumi Plugin (GB) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Kempton on 26 December 2025 where the gelding finished eighth of ten beaten, 31 lengths.
Gary Moore’s explanation that the gelding was better suited by the slower ground today described as Soft, Good to Soft in places; appreciated the step up in trip from 2 miles 4 furlongs to 3 miles 1 furlong and the drop in Class from Class 3 to Class 4, was noted.
