The Raceday Stewards granted a request from John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Drumgill, for an additional ten minutes to present hios charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i)
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident jumping the second last fence involving High Class Hero (GB), ridden by P. Townend, Dee Capo (FR), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, Shannon Royale, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, Drumgill, ridden by Michael Kenneally, and Talk In The Park, ridden by D. Meyler, where it appeared contact was made mid air resulting in D. Meyler being unseated. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no riding offence had occurred and that no further action was warranted
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Waterford Whispers, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Sa Majeste (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins was found to have blood at one nostril post race.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards that have not won a steeplechase before 5th May 2024 and that at entry have run at least four times in steeplechases (150 = 11st 12lbs) Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase or steeplechases after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
