An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong when the winner, Bear Kode (IRE), ridden by Oisin McSweeney, interfered with Brindavan (IRE), placed second, ridden by Dylan Hogan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Bear Kode (IRE) as the gelding came from behind Brindavan (IRE) and although the colt was carried off his intended line, Brindavan (IRE) appeared to lose no momentum and was always held at the finish to be beaten a neck.
McSweeney was suspended for 2 days, for careless riding, in that he had failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount from drifting left-handed, moving Brindavan off its intended line.
