An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the second last hurdle involving Wonderfulwonderful (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Alex Harvey and Falls Of Acharn (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Freddie Gingell.
Harvey was suspended for 4 days for improper riding, as he had manoeuvred his mount right-handed when not clear of Falls Of Acharn (GB), causing Gingell to take a check when tightened for room, when it ought to have been obvious that interference would occur as a result of the manoeuvre.
Following the race, Freddie Gingell reported that Falls Of Acharn (GB), placed sixth, ran too free.
