Permission was given for Apollo One (GB) and Quinault (GER) to be mounted in the chute; and for Nariko (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 furlongs out, involving Apollo One (GB), placed second, ridden by Paul Mulrennan, Prince Of India (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jamie Spencer and Jabaara (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa.
The interference was found to be accidental as Spencer shifted left-handed to avoid the heels of Apollo One (GB), which had edged marginally left-handed as Spencer made his run, resulting in De Sousa being tight for room and taking a check.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, involving Prince Of India (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jamie Spencer, Quinault (GER), unplaced, ridden by Marco Ghiani and Nariko (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Charles Bishop.
The interference was found to be accidental as Spencer made his run into a legitimate gap at the same time as Ghiani's mount edged left-handed, resulting in Quinault (GER)’s quarters being turned, both horses becoming unbalanced and in turn Bishop taking a check off heels.
Following the race, Paul Mulrennan reported that Apollo One (GB), placed second, was denied a clear run on several occasions from 2 furlongs until a furlong out.
