THE POWER UTILITIES GROUP CONDITIONAL JOCKEYS' SELLING HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 5) Permission was given for Mountain Port (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend at the start of the second circuit involving, Raffles Nobu (FR), placed fifth, ridden by Jack Stenhouse and Pigeon House (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Beau Morgan.
Being a 7lb claiming conditional, Stenhouse was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Tom Broughton, the rider of the winner, Mojo Ego (IRE) and Harry Atkins, the rider of At The Oche (IRE), placed second, were interviewed but found not to be involved.
The interference was found to be accidental as after jumping the hurdle, Raffles Nobu (FR) improved into a tight but diminishing gap as Pigeon House (IRE) shifted marginally left-handed, causing Raffles Nobu (FR) to be tight for room and the rider to take a check against the rail.
Following the race, Beau Morgan reported that Pigeon House (IRE), placed fourth, hung both ways and Robbie David reported that Mountain Port (IRE), unplaced, jumped poorly.
