THE CAPITAL WINDSCREENS SUPPORTING MENTAL HEALTH HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) Permission was given for Bug Boy (IRE) to go early to post and for Electric Bass (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood.
Bug Boy (IRE) unseated Taryn Langley on the way to post and cantered loose.
Having been checked by the Doctor and Veterinary Surgeon at the start respectively, both were deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference from the bend leaving the back straight involving Marinakis (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Olivia Tubb, Wonderful Wendy (GB), placed second, ridden by Joe Leavy, and Rosco Rogers (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck.
Being a 7Ib Claiming Apprentice, Tubb was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Both incidents were found to be accidental in that Marinakis (IRE) raced awkwardly around the turn becoming unbalanced and causing Tubb to have to take a check off the heels of Rosco Rogers (IRE) and having done so became further unbalanced and shifted off the rail resulting in Tubb having to take a further check off the heels of Wonderful Wendy (GB).
Cieren Fallon, the rider of Cloudside Rock (GB), placed fourth, and Finley Marsh, the rider of Port Of Entry (IRE), unplaced, were also interviewed but found not to be involved.
