An enquiry was held to consider two pieces of interference involving Argentum (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Saffie Osborne, Voix De Bocelli (GB), unplaced, ridden by Donagh Murphy and Uzincso (GB), placed fourth, ridden by David Egan.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Murphy was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
In the first incident, half a furlong after the start, Osborne was cautioned for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift right-handed when insufficiently clear of Murphy, causing him to take a slight check.
In the second incident, entering the first bend, Egan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to edge right-handed when insufficiently clear of Osborne, resulting in her steadying Argentum (IRE), when awkwardly placed between Uzincso (GB) and Lawn Ranger (GB).
The winner Maywedance (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Bath on 4 May 2026 where the filly finished seventh of nine runners, beaten by 10 ¼ lengths.
John O’Shea’s explanation that the filly benefitted from the reapplication of cheekpieces, was noted.
Maywedance (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Robert Havlin reported that Big Take (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
