Permission was given for Dakota Power (GB) to be mounted on the course and to go to post early wearing a red hood and for Yeoman (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider two instances of interference down the home straight involving Show Biz Kid (IRE), placed second, ridden by Mr Ross Birkett and the winner Urban Road (GB), ridden by Mr David Dunsdon.
In the first incident, approximately 1 furlong out, the interference was found to be accidental, as Urban Road (GB) had changed leads before being shifted slightly right-handed making light contact with Show Biz Kid (IRE).
In the second incident, approaching half a furlong out, the interference was also found to be accidental as Show Biz Kid (IRE) had edged left-handed at the same time as Urban Road (GB) shifted right-handed when Dunsdon was gathering his mount up and changing his hands, resulting in both horses briefly becoming unbalanced after lightly bumping.
Following the race, Mr Simon Walker reported that Yeoman (GB), placed third, reared as the start was effected causing it to be slowly away.
