Permission was given for Spectacular Style (GB) to go to post early, and for Commander Of Life (IRE) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Commander Of Life (IRE), trained by Jessica Macey, to wear a red hood in the preliminaries, was late being submitted.
Macey was warned as to her responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
The winner Commander Of Life (IRE) appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 8 January 2025, where the gelding finished ninth of ten, beaten 8½ lengths.
It was noted that Jessica Macey could offer no explanation for the improved form, other than the gelding may have benefitted from the first time application of cheekpieces.
Commander Of Life (IRE) was routine tested.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend, when Imperial Fighter (IRE), unplaced, ridden by William Carver, interfered with Partisan Hero (IRE), placed third, ridden by Connor Planas.
Carver was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to move left-handed without being fully clear of a free-running Partisan Hero (IRE), which was briefly crowded for room on the rail.
Approaching the final furlong, Spectacular Style (GB), unplaced, hung left and became caught on the heels of Radiant Beauty (GB), unplaced, which itself had edged slightly right-handed.
But after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Imperial Fighter (IRE), unplaced, lost its left hind shoe.
