The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of She's A Fine Wine, placed first, as compared with its most recent run at Killarney on the 23rd of August

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Anthony McCann, trainer of Luminous Light, Mr. Jimmy Mansell the Girth Man and the assistant Racecourse manager Damien Skehan concerning the start of this race, where it appeared Mr
Mansell waved a branch to prompt Luminous Light to go forward which as set out under Regulation 13 is not permitted. Evidence was heard from Anthony McCann who stated that he had asked Mr. Mansell to wave a branch to encourage his charge to go forward. Mr. Jimmy Mansell stated that he was acting upon the instructions of Anthony McCann. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the trainer was in breach of Rule 272(i)(improper conduct). Having considered his record (second offence), they fined him €500
The Raceday Stewards informed Anthony McCann, trainer of Luminous Light (GB), that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to line up, may render the animal liable to a suspension in the future.
