The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Cape Primrose, ridden by W.M. Lordan, and Storm Petrel, ridden by G.P. Halpin where it appeared Storm Petrel manoeuvred left causing Cape Primrose to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.M. Lordan said he had to switch when Storm Petrel crossed his path. G.P. Halpin said he was angling out for a run when his filly slowed up a fraction as she was still a bit green. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found G.P. Halpin was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined White Sand Beach (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
For three years old fillies only, maidens at starting that are EBF eligible Weights - 9st 3lbs.
