On the bend entering the home straight Beat The Edge (IRE), placed third, edged quickly left-handed causing Zuul (GB), placed fourth, to be crowded for room and stumbled.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that riding offence was involved and had not improved the placing of Beat The Edge (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Zuul (GB), placed fourth, had bled from the nose.
