Having been checked by the Doctor, he was deemed fit to race.
The winner, El Muchacho (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Market Rasen on 14 October 2025 where the gelding finished eleventh of twelve runners, beaten 55 lengths.
It was noted that Mike Sowersby could offer no explanation for El Muchacho (IRE)’s improved form other than the gelding benefitted from the application of a first-time flash noseband, which in his opinion aided the gelding’s breathing.
El Muchacho (IRE) was routine tested.
Approaching the final fence, Imperial Rule (IRE), placed third, edged marginally right-handed at the same time as Prized Jet (IRE), unplaced, edged marginally left-handed resulting in BEAT THE EGDE (IRE), placed fifth, becoming momentarily crowded for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Imperial Rule (IRE).
Following the race, Conor Rabbitt reported that Earlofbrackenstown (IRE), which was pulled up, jumped novicey.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Diamond Trilogy (IRE), unplaced, lost its left- hind shoe.
