Helaali (IRE) arrived at the start with a small amount of blood in its mouth.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the first bend involving West Kirby (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Garritty; Pretty Spirited (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Alec Voikhansky; Heartened (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Cam Hardie and Golden Harmony (FR), unplaced, ridden by Andrew Mullen.
The interference was found to be accidental as, whilst racing in a tightly packed field, a free- running West Kirby (GB) stepped quickly left-handed into the path of Pretty Spirited (GB), causing that filly to be crowded for room and peck, which in turn caused the riders of Heartened (IRE) and Golden Harmony (FR) to take a check.
Following the race, Cam Hardie reported that Heartened (IRE), placed fifth, ran too freely in the early stages and Christian Howarth reported that Helaali (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run inside the final 1½ furlongs.
