Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that ROMAN’S EMPRESS (IRE) had refused to race and was deemed to be a runner.
Approaching the final furlong, Hajey (GB), placed eighth, edged right-handed, taking Three Castles (GB), placed fifth, off its intended line, which in turn caused the rider of Maulesden May (IRE), placed sixth, to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, David Allan reported that Araka Li (IRE), placed seventh, hung left-handed throughout; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Jamie Gormley reported that Zabeel Star (IRE), placed fourth, hung left-handed.
