Permission was given for Getuptheyard (IRE) to be mounted on the course and wear a red hood to post and for Thurley (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Michael Nolan, the rider of Thurley (IRE), was unseated shortly after jumping the third hurdle.
It was found that the incident was accidental and was caused by Thurley (IRE) clipping a heel.
An enquiry was held to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Thurley (IRE), trained by Philip Hobbs and Johnson White, getting through two secure barriers and being able to leave the confines of the racecourse.
They interviewed the Clerk of the Course and a BHA Course Inspector, and a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Geezer Rockstar (IRE), placed fourth, and Getuptheyard (IRE), unplaced, lost their right-fore shoes.
