The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the final hurdle involving Luck Between Us, ridden by Niall Moore, placed first, and Koeur A Prendre (FR), ridden by Michael Kenneally, placed second, where it appeared Luck Between Us jumped right colliding with Koeur A Prendre on landing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no riding offence was committed and that no further action was warranted
P. Cleary, rider of Boston Queen, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up
H.E. Sexton, rider of Mother Ship, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got squeezed going to the first hurdle
D.J. O'Connor, rider of Tedworth, trained by Michael Barry, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled
D.G. Whelan, rider of Miss Donna, trained by Patrick John Kiely, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame. The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed that Miss Donna was lame on her left fore post race.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 0-100 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won. Riders - Confined to Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim the allowance under Rule 52. Allowances - (which are not cumulative, up to and including 12th July) Riders who have not ridden the winners of 25 *races allowed...........4lb; Those who have not ridden the winners of 40 *races allowed..........2lb. No allowance under Rule 52 may be claimed. *Including races under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing.
