The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms L.A. Byrne, rider of Minella Supreme, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted and apologised for her misuse of the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered her clean record, they suspended her for two racedays

Rules or Rules of Racing Weights - 12st Mares allowed 7lbs Riders - Ladies who are Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Ladies who are Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (up to and including 13th July) may also ride in this race.
