THE BRITISH STALLION STUDS EBF NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 3) (GBB RACE) Permission was given for Al Hudaiba (GB), Eagle Island (IRE), and Shiyam (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Tom Marquand, the rider of Al Hudaiba (GB) was unseated just inside the final furlong.
Marquand was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
It was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by the colt initially drifting left-handed before sharply ducking right-handed, unseating the rider.
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Eagle Island (IRE), placed fourth, was hampered by the loose horse.
