An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong when the winner, Into Battle, ridden by Kieran Shoemark interfered with Gloryous (IRE), placed second, ridden by William Carson.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Into Battle as despite shifting quickly right-handed and making brief contact with Gloryous just inside the final furlong, Into Battle was gaining ground on Gloryous at the time and was holding Gloryous all the way to the line with the winning distance being a head.
The interference was found to be accidental as Into Battle shifted quickly right-handed before being corrected.
