Inside final furlong, Raintown (IRE), placed third, lugged right-handed resulting in Windbreaker (GB), unplaced, being shifted marginally off its intended line and having to take off the heels of the winner, Queen's Companion (GB).
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Raintown (IRE).
Following the race, David Probert reported that Turtle Reef (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
