Approximately 1½ furlongs out, Robusto (IRE), placed second, shifted slightly right-handed whilst being corrected moving Moon Sniper (GB), placed third, slightly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Robusto (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line involving Moon Sniper (GB), placed third, ridden by Lewis Edmunds, Robusto (IRE), placed second, ridden by Harry Vigors, and the winner, Codiak (IRE), ridden by Callum Rodriguez.
Being a 7Ib Claiming Apprentice, Vigors was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Moon Sniper (GB) lugged left-handed despite Edmunds’ best efforts to correct the gelding causing Robusto (IRE) to become buffeted for room between both Codiak (IRE) and Moon Sniper (GB).
