An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the 2-furlong marker involving Showtime Mahomes (GB), unplaced, ridden by Oliver Stammers, Pickering Castle (GB), unplaced, ridden by Luke Morris, and Minnesota Lad (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by David Nolan.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Showtime Mahomes (GB) stepped right-handed at the same time as Pickering Castle (GB) went for a tight but legitimate gap resulting in that gelding becoming short of room with Morris subsequently having to take a check which in turn made contact with and turned the hindquarters of Minnesota Lad (IRE).
