THE SUPPORT SCROPTON RIDING FOR THE DISABLED CONDITIONAL JOCKEYS' HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 4) The winner, Imperial Data (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Cartmel, on 31 August 2026, where the gelding finished sixth of seven runners, beaten by 41 ½ lengths.
Rebecca Menzies' explanation that the gelding benefitted from the better ground, described as Good, Good to Firm in places, and the first-time application of a visor, was noted.
Imperial Data (IRE) was routine tested.
The performance of Pike Road (GB), which was eased in the closing stages and finished eighth of eight runners, beaten by 31 lengths, was considered.
It was noted that Martin Keighley could provide no explanation for the performance of the gelding.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Harry (SWE), unplaced, finished lame on its right-fore.
