Permission was given for One More Bottle (GB) to go early wearing a red hood to the start and to be mounted in the chute; the gelding also wore earplugs throughout the race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside on the run to the line involving the winner, Triple Force (GB), ridden by William Pyle; DARLING LEADER (IRE), placed second, ridden by Andrew Mullen and Falcon Nine (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Joanna Mason.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Triple Force (GB) edged right-handed marginally intimidating DARLING LEADER (IRE) off its intended line, which resulted in Falcon Nine (GB) becoming briefly short of room causing Mason to take a check.
Following the race, Joanna Mason reported that Falcon Nine (GB), placed fourth, was denied a clear run approximately 2 furlongs out.
