An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately inside the final furlong involving the winner, Dumfries (GB), ridden by James Sullivan and RAJA WAIL, unplaced, ridden by Faye McManoman.
McManoman was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift right-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Dumfries (GB), causing Sullivan to take a check against the rail.
Approaching the final furlong Kalganov (FR), placed fifth, hung right-handed, before being quickly corrected, giving a light bump to RAJA WAIL, unplaced.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding was improved and that it did not improve the placing of Kalganov (FR).
Following the race, Joanna Mason reported that Kalganov (FR), placed fifth, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.
Rhys Elliot reported that Langholm (IRE), placed fourth, was restless in the stalls.
