THE SELF STORAGE ASSOCIATION HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) Permission was given for Flash Kozo (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held into the fall of Jack Doughty, the rider of So Alex (IRE) who was unseated entering the first bend.
The rider, and Robert Havlin, the rider of Kingdom Of Stars (FR), placed fifth, were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
Silvestre De Sousa, the rider of White Storm (GB), unplaced, was also interviewed and found not to be involved.
The interference was found to be accidental as the pace steadied whilst racing the first bend with both So Alex (IRE) and Kingdom Of Stars (FR) running free, Kingdom Of Stars (FR) lugged slightly left-handed, resulting in So Alex (IRE) clipping a heel, stumbling and unseating the rider.
Following the race, Robert Havlin reported that Kingdom Of Stars (FR), placed fifth, ran too free and Hector Crouch reported that he felt something a miss with Kakirra (IRE) and felt it prudent to pull the gelding up.
The Veterinary Officer examined the gelding post-race and reported that the Kakirra (IRE) finished lame on its left-fore.
