Permission was given for Hey Mr (GB) and Gustav Graves (GB) to go early to post; for Bella Kopella (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Hey Mr (GB) which had been very reluctant to go to post.
Paul Midgley was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also been difficult to get to post at Nottingham on 18 July 2023, Midgley was informed that any future similar behaviour from Hey Mr (GB) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Shane Gray reported that Impressor (IRE), placed third, suffered interference shortly after the start.
