The winner Magic Wave (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Wetherby on 28 March 2025 where the gelding finished thirteenth of thirteen runners, beaten by 57 ¼ lengths.
It was noted that Mark Walford could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Magic Wave (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Danny McMenamin reported that Sauce Of Life (IRE), which was pulled up, weakened quickly from 2 furlongs from the line.
The Veterinary Officer examined the gelding post-race and reported Sauce Of Life (IRE) was stiff behind.
