An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out when the winner Sahm Naif (IRE), ridden by Jason Hart interfered with Wadacre Geisha (GB), placed second, ridden by Connor Beasley.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Sahm Naif (IRE)’s placing as although Wadacre Geisha (GB) had received contact and moved slightly off her intended line, Beasley never had to stop riding and inside the final furlong Wadacre Geisha (GB) again raced upsides and had every opportunity to go on to win the race before being passed by Sahm Naif who appeared to be holding Wadacre Geisha (GB) at the line.
The interference was found to be accidental as Sahm Naif (IRE) moved quickly left-handed away from the whip before being corrected by Hart making contact with and moving Wadacre Geisha (GB) slightly off its intended line.
