Permission was given for Coolagh Magic (GB) and Poetic Jack (GB) to go to post early.

An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, involving Poetic Jack (GB), placed third, ridden by Jack Callan, Thomas Equinas (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Robert Havlin and Profit Rockit (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Finley Marsh.
Being a 7lb claimer, Callan was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
Callan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had shifted his mount right-handed when insufficiently clear of Thomas Equinas (GB), resulting in Havlin having to take a check and in turn gave Profit Rockit (IRE) a bump.
Following the race, the George Margasson reported that Shibuya Storm (IRE), unplaced, was showing signs of being in season.
