Thatza Dazzler (GB), trained by David Brace, was declared a non-runner in this race at 10:22am on 19 February 2024, due to being declared in error.
Brace was fined £140 as he had made the gelding a non- runner before 9am on the day of racing without an acceptable reason.
Approaching the home bend, the winner, Latin Verse (GB), obtained a narrow run up the rail to the inside of Gower Prince (GB), unplaced, making contact with that gelding and causing it to shift left-handed, carrying Royal Deeside (GB), placed second, onto John Betjeman (GB), placed fifth, which was inconvenienced.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Latin Verse (GB).
