Permission was given for both Morgenstern (FR) to go early to post and to wear a red hood to the start and for Henryville (GB) to go early to post.
Going out onto the final circuit, the rider of Inn The Bull, placed eighth, was forced to steady her mount for a number of strides to allow the free running Henryville (GB), unplaced, on her inside room to move out in order to negotiate the bend, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Shortly after jumping the last hurdle, the tail of Morgenstern (FR), unplaced, became caught in the right-stirrup iron of City Derby (IRE), placed seventh, which resulted in Fern O'Brien having to stop riding forwards for a number of strides.
Following the race, Gina Andrews reported that Inn The Bull (GER), placed eighth, hung right-handed in the closing stages.
