Permission was given for Merry Banter (GB) to go to post early.
2 furlongs out there was interference between Landing Night (IRE), placed fourth, and Timetodock (GB), placed third, and again 1 furlong out when Landing Night (IRE) hung sharply left bumping Timetodock (GB) several times.
However, after viewing a recording of both incidents, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Hawaam (IRE) which finished seventh of seven, was considered.
Roger Fell could offer no explanation for the gelding's performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Clifford Lee reported that Landing Night (IRE), placed fourth, hung left.
