THE RACING TV HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) The winner, Spirit Catcher (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Nottingham, on 8 April 2026, where the gelding finished thirteenth of fifteen runners, beaten by 15 lengths.
The explanation given by Philip Kirby that Spirit Catcher (IRE) had benefitted from being able to obtain prominent position easily on this occasion, having been unsuited by its wide draw at Nottingham, was noted.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Esque Elegance (IRE), unplaced, had a couple of small wounds on its left-hind.
