Permission was given for Macs Dilemma (IRE) to go to post early whilst being mounted in the chute and for Outer Edge (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of Outer Edge (GB), drawn 3, ridden by Joe Leavy.
The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
The Stewards considered that the gelding was prevented from starting on equal terms due to the Starter being unaware that the gelding’s right-hind leg was stuck up on the running board as the stalls opened, losing many lengths as a result, and ordered that Outer Edge (GB) be declared a non-runner.
Following the race, the representative of Ismail Mohammed reported Fear And Fast (GB), placed third, did not suit the undulations of the track.
