Permission was given for Radio Star (IRE) and Money Pockets (GB) to go to post early.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line, when the winner, KING’S CROWN (IRE), ridden by Rhys Elliott, interfered with FLETCHER’S FLIGHT (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Ashley Lewis.
Being a 7lb apprentice, Lewis was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
Elliott was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction, moving Lewis off his intended line and causing him to have to steady his mount.
Following the race, Luke Catton reported that Money Pockets (GB), placed second, was slowly away.
