It was a nice performance and a nice pot to win with her. She just seems to handle that ground well and it was nice to get another race with her. If we could find another mares chase like that it would be grand. For a few lengths before the last I thought we were in trouble, but she put it to bed very fast then. Around that trip is fine for her, I’d say, two-and-a-half or two-six.
Melbourne and Cheltenham could be on the agenda for Too Bossy For Us
He did it nicely. It was a slow enough run contest and we’d have preferred a faster one. He still has a bit of improving to do, and he jumped the last very high which showed he has plenty left in the tank. Once he learns to come down and hurdle properly, he should improve more. He has enough class for the Supreme, but we’ll have a look and see what races he’s in and what he’s qualified for. We won’t make a decision at this stage. He’ll hopefully be a horse that will be dual-purpose during the summer. He’s a horse that we might try and qualify for the Melbourne Cup as well.

He needs a bit of nicer ground and needs a trip. Looking at him today I think he needs a fence too, but I’ll wait until the new season comes in. We’ll find a nice hurdle race between now and the end of Punchestown (festival). Possibly something in Fairyhouse for him. He didn’t enjoy Mallow. He didn’t take Paul along at all, so we took the hood off him today and I think it made a big difference. He was always very free, but he’s changed now. He’s more mature and is settling in his races, so it makes him easier to ride. It probably wasn’t the highest standard of race either. He’s improving and maybe the ones around him aren’t. I was happy to get that and I think his future might lie over fences.
Kenneally continues winning streak on Pebble Bleu
I thought it might come too soon after running such a good race in Thurles last Thursday, but she came out of it bouncing and she just seems to be improving with age. She likes to get on with it. She has a high cruising speed, and she loves what she’s doing. Mike gets on great with her. He’s riding out of his skin at the moment and he’s great. I’m delighted for John and Sharon (Flavin), who have been big supporters of my yard. They have trusted me with this mare and thankfully I’m paying them back now. John wants to cover her as she’s a valuable broodmare now; she’s got a great pedigree. We’ll tip away and we might find another race for her over fences maybe.
