I'm really happy with that. We took a bit of a punt bringing him back, but he is going to get a fair hike after Wednesday and he seemed in great form. He got 16lb for Wednesday which was probably fair. I'm delighted for his owners, we've already had a lot of fun with him. We will give him a little break now, I'm not used to running them that quick. . He's got loads of options and could go back on the Flat. We'll back off him for a couple of weeks as he's been busy. I'm delighted for Ethan as well, he gave him a great ride.

He was very keen and free, and he had only one run over hurdles. The track's undulations might not have been in his favour. They have done a great job on the track; it is watered and credit to them as it is as good as I've seen all over Ireland. We were happy to run him and take his chance. It all worked out well. He was a bit keen, but during the race Dan got him switched off. He was a bit novicey but, overall, you'd be very happy and he won well. There is only one winning post and it is fair stiff from the furlong (pole) home, you see an awful lot of results changing at Downpatrick and Galway and all those places with a stiff finish. That man (King) is one of the best lads riding and he knows where the winning post is and that is what counts.

That is great as it is probably her last run this year because she likes nice ground,. We had thought about jumping her out handy, but Harry (Sexton) came into the parade ring and said that everybody wanted to be handy, so we decided to ride her out the back. In fairness she likes passing horses too. Paddy (son) is in England but it was he who gave Harry the instructions and rang me afterwards as I was leaving the stands. It is great for these owners, a seven-member syndicate from four different counties, as they have been patient.Â . We bred her ourselves, which makes this all the sweeter, and it is great to get these winners on the board. My son Sean told me recently that out of our last 52 runners, 45 were in the money and had 25 seconds and 10 thirds in that time too, so to win again is lovely.

We were very confident coming here as Sean's (Dalton, owner) other horse with me, Rokanako, finished second to the favourite Teofil earlier this summer, so we had a good line on form. Rain arrived, however, so we weren't too sure, as he loves very quick ground. We'll go back jumping now and go to Cheltenham's October meeting, where Michael (Kenneally) will be able to ride him in a conditionals jockeys' race. The idea of getting Michael today was that he is very good to ride from the front, he claims 5lb and will be on board in Cheltenham too, so it ticked all the boxes.
